WHY SHOULD I USE CLOTH?
My question to you is….WHY NOT??
Do you want to spend as little money on diapers as possible?
Do you want to make the healthiest decisions for your baby?
Do you want to leave as little impact on the environment as possible?
If you answered YES to even just ONE of those questions….
It is time to consider cloth diapers.
Do you really know what is in a disposable diaper? Inside, the technology is a powdery substance “Waterlock” (was featured as a science experiment on Ellen), which is actually sodium polyacrylate. This powder absorbs up to 300 times its own weight and forms a gel. This is why your baby’s skin stays dry in these diapers. This is also the SAME chemical that is BANNED from menstrual products because it was causing TOXIC SHOCK SYDROME in women, some of which died.
This is the chemical that is on your baby’s skin 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until 2-2.5 years old.
There are other chemicals on top of sodium polyacylate including, dioxin (one of the most poisonous and carcinogenic substances produced!), tributyltin (and endocrine disruptor) and bleaches.
All of these chemicals in diapers are being linked to respiratory problems, asthma, various degrees of diaper rashes and possibly even decreasing fertility in men.
Are you still going to use disposables?
Do you know how much you are spending on diapers?
The average child requires 6000, yes SIX THOUSAND diaper changes between birth and being completely potty trained.
This means that you are paying anywhere from 1500 (if you are lucky) to 3000 in diapers – PER CHILD.
-do not forget to include the cost of gas to get your diaper, cost of disposing (some areas charge $3 PER BAG of garbage) or the inconvenience of ensuring you never run out.
Cloth Diapers can cost you as little as $300, yes…THREE HUNDRED for the entire time your baby is in diapers (including washing expenses) Contact us for the complete breakdown.
Cloth Diapers can be as expensive as you want them to be.
You could save at least ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for your child’s education!

What happens to diapers after you are done with them?
Cloth Diapers WILL last through several children back to back and then can be passed on to other families!
When you are done with a disposable, it goes right to the landfill. Each child contributes about 6000 diapers to our landfills. (Not exactly the way I would like my children to contribute to the planet)
That means, there is an average of 50 MILLION diapers enter our landfills DAILY and hang around on average 500 years. (So, we don’t even know what will happen when the plastic finally disintegrates and the chemicals and waste are full exposed… )
Amanda Keeping and her family live in WhiteWater Township and our landfill is CLOSED. How many babies live in your neighbourhood?
Do you shake your baby’s waste into the toilet as per the recommendations by ALL diaper companies, and the law (yes it is illegal to put human waste in the garbage!) This waste goes with the diaper and makes a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and diseases.
